Beginning with the very first notes of Another Beautiful Day, the songs glide along, reflecting life in America, filled with love, loss, hope and redemption. While many of the songs, such as Follow The Sun, Holiday, and Nice To Be The King, are upbeat and joyful, other songs, such as Thousand Years and This Land remind the listener to pause and remember our great country and history. There is something for everyone on this album, whether it’s the simpler life feeling of Be With You, the fun story of Ernie Flame, or the melancholy vibe of Malibu. The album culminates with the patriotic title track, This Land, which will leave you teary eyed long before the powerful song ending crescendo.

In 2012, singer/songwriter Ken Roberts was approached by studio owner Rich Ayres and producer Brent Bourgeois with an idea to collaborate on an album of Ken’s songs. Ayres’ River City Recording Studio was booked, and the sessions began. As they began recording vocals, Roberts, Bourgeois and Ayres discovered their voices blended beautifully

Ayres’ River City Recording Studio was booked, and the sessions began. As they began recording vocals, Roberts, Bourgeois and Ayres discovered their voices blended beautifully together. Roberts’ songs typically have big choruses, perfect for three part harmonies, and this is where the trio was at their very best, creating soaring vocal harmonies, and taking Roberts finely crafted melodies and lyrics to an exciting new level.
